Kijani provides project finance consultancy and advisory services to large projects throughout Southern Africa. We are uniquely placed to offer a sophisticated understanding of the financial, environmental and energy modelling needs of complex infrastructure projects.

About Michael Atkinson

Mike is a senior project finance consultant specialising in structuring and arranging finance for large development projects. He spent six years at the Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDCSA), involved in all aspects of financial advisory to large capital projects including structuring, financial modelling, raising finance, negotiating agreements and managing drawdowns.

He is currently working as project finance consultant with various projects including Kijani's own mini hydro projects in Tanzania and South Africa. In addition, he provides PPP advisory services to eThekwini Municipality for its treatment of sludge from its waste water treatment plants. He is also advising ACCORD, a mediation NGO on raising finance for a R230m conference centre and office accommodation.
